| ITEM No.: 50 CD No.: 162 EMBOSSING: (f) H.G. Co. Patent May 2, 1893 (b) Petticoat COLOR: Purple. CONDITION: Just one partially chipped drip, a couple of minor dome pings and a small match head surface ding at the skirt base below the date. SUMMARY: A deep rich shade of purple, yet not quite at the depth of color found in the darker purple and royal purple shades. This color allows excellent light conveyance when back lit. Once more, this is not a dark royal purple, however it does exude the same tonal qualities as the royal purples, with a vivid, brighter glow. Maybe a good "tweener" shade for the color signal specialist? ESTIMATED VALUE: $450 - $550 OPENING BID: $300 PRICE REALIZED: $468 |
