| ITEM No.: 52 CD No.: 126 EMBOSSING: none COLOR: Blue aqua. CONDITION: Just a few minor to extremely tiny pecks here and there and a mild flashover on the skirt. Just about vnm. SUMMARY: Here's an oddball that will surely excite the blobtop specialists. The oversized dome and lower wire ridge sitting on a partially slumping skirt really gives it a distinctively different appearance when compared to the standard bloptop design. It is likely of Pennycuick origin, but unlike any other we've seen. It gives one the impression by appearance that it maintains a heavier, more beefier design over other CD 126s, however it actually weighs roughly equal to the average Brookfield blobtop. The glass has a nice clarity to it, with a few scattered bubbles, plus a nice wisp of olive amber in the dome. There appears to be fewer of these known than the purple Brookfield bolbtops, so you have the opportunity here to own an equally scarce insulator without spending a fortune. ESTIMATED VALUE: $250 - $400 OPENING BID: $180 PRICE REALIZED: $468 |
