ITEM No.: 8 CD No.: 160 EMBOSSING: (f) Brookfield (b) New York COLOR: Dark snowy jade green. CONDITION: Fingernail arc flake off inside of rear skirt taking half of two drips (see View 2), six other drips with chipping to micro flaking, and three minor to tiny surface dings/pecks. SUMMARY: An exciting little baby signal! Back lighting generates the appearance of deep jade green glass full of snow. Base lighting reveals swirls of milk, snow and fizzy bubbles in a rich green glass, but with a slightly lessened jade appearance. This is an unusual blend of impurities for a deeper shade of green glass, even for Brookfield glass, which is well known for instances of poor quality control. The color, however, is not too dark, thus allowing good light transmission when utilizing back or base lighting. We have seen a couple other similar examples out there, but this one contains a much denser display of snow and jade-like qualities. The condition is actually much better than it sounds and it displays just shy of perfect. An oddball that should appeal to general collectors as well as baby signal specialists.
