| ITEM No.: 90 CD No.: 260 EMBOSSING: California COLOR: Peach/purple/blue tri-tone. CONDITION: Some light factory grinding to remove the base overpour, open base bubble and some surface annealing lines where the ears meet the dome (all generally considered as acceptable factory imperfections). In addition, after-factory flaws are: small flake and ping on lower wire ridge and pinkie nail flake with associated light bruising on inner skirt. SUMMARY: A really wild mix of color that must be back lit to fully appreciate. The overall predominant color is a medium rosy purple, but as you focus in on the center dome from the lower ridge up you will clearly see a strong blend of peach with blue aqua streaks. The ears are predominantly purple, but traces of blue aqua can be seen, especially in the lower portion of the left ear. If you are fortunate enough to already own one each of the purple and yellow California helmets, this very unusual example will fit nicely between the two. ESTIMATED VALUE: $1,200 - $1,500 OPENING BID: $750 PRICE REALIZED: $880 |
