| ITEM No.: 91 CD No.: 200 EMBOSSING: California COLOR: Purple. CONDITION: Flat fingernail flake to the underside of the umbrella and a couple of minor pecks. Some minor partially open factory annealing lines on the lower dome ridge. SUMMARY: One of three transposition styles manufactured by California Glass Co. The other two are valued much higher due to their rarity, but the design quality of this transposition has them both beat for style and appeal. The color of this example is approaching a burgundy shade, which is more often found in the California signals. Displays quite well, since the flake exists under the umbrella. With the escalating values on vnm+ to mint examples surpassing $2,000+, this could turn out to be a steal if it remains at or below the upper estimate. ESTIMATED VALUE: $1,000 - $1,200 OPENING BID: $700 PRICE REALIZED: $770 |
