SUMMARY: At well over 5 inches tall and a hefty 3 pounds, this is unquestionably one of the most impressive early telegraph threadless insulators ever produced. Several documented discoveries of these CD 736.7s have occurred in, or near, rivers. It is thus assumed that their primary use was for long spans at river crossings, which demanded their immense size and brawniness. Utilizing strong base lighting, this insulator displays some nice milky ribbons flowing from the dome down into the skirt.
